An agricultural drain is a slotted PVC pipe placed into a trench that is backfilled with rocks or sand.

Commonly referred to as Ag-Pipe, Ag-Line or Draincoil, Slotted Agricultural Line, it is a flexible, corrugated drainage pipe.

The purpose of the agi pipe is to drain away any water that is in the ground.

Groundwater or surface water that seeps into the trench falls through the rocks and is carried away by the slotted PVC pipe

It is used by landscapers, plumbers, civil contractors etc. to divert water flow in all situations, such as

• • behind retaining walls,
  • in gardens,
  • underneath lawns,
  • paths, houses etc.

  • is available with or without a Geotech silt sock. The sock is a fine mesh material that surrounds the pipe. unslotted pipe is used for water transfer.

The trench for the pipe must be twice the width of the pipe and 25 millimetres deeper than the level of the pipe.

Gravel should be laid 25mm in the trench while keeping the gradient.

Keep the pipe straight when laying it along the gravel.
