Premium Garden Soil is our own, well, Premium blend.
It has matured longer than our other soils and has a specific point of difference, making one of its uses perfect for raised garden beds.
It is a well-balanced soil containing additional organic compost and boiler ash to support the chicken manure (giving it a high nitrogen content) and components that help keep the soil more open. This soil is not suitable for top-dressing
The result; it is a "freer" soil than Garden Blend & Gardeners Choice.
Freer, in the soil, has a feeling of lightness and fluffiness resulting in less clumping.
A factor that allows for adequate water retention and good drainage without unnecessary compaction, and the soil will feed for longer before needing to add more nutrients!
it seriously has little clumping, and if it does, it breaks down effortlessly!
Premium works well for
- a seed / seedling raising mix
- and for a vegetable garden that may be focussing on Root Veges like Radishes, Carrots, Beetroot, Kohl Rabi, Potatoes, Turnips etc.
If you like the idea of an easy-to-use, versatile soil that also can be used in raised garden beds, this one is well worth considering.
